Alexis McGoldrick Stec, MS, CCC-SLP is a licensed Pediatric Speech Language Pathologist and owner of the Blarney Therapy Center. She received her undergraduate education at Temple University in Philadelphia, PA graduating with a Bachelor's Degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders and a Certificate of proficiency in American Sign Language. She went on to pursue graduate education at Moravian University, earning a Master of Science Degree in Speech-Language Pathology. Alexis graduated with her Master's degree at the top of her class and was on the executive board of governing associations in her field of study. Alexis is currently pursuing her Doctorate Degree in Speech-Language Pathology through the Massachusetts General Hospital Institute of Health Professions.
Alexis is licensed by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Sciences Association, as well as the Virginia Board of Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology. She has experience previously working in outpatient, school, inpatient hospitals, and private practice settings, before beginning her private practice in 2022.
When Alexis is not treating clients or attending classes for her doctoral program, she loves spending time with her two rescue dogs, Gracie and Louie. Alexis also enjoys taking trips up to Lake Winola, Pennsylvania to spend time with family at their lake house, where she serves on the Board of Directors for the Cottage Association. Alexis is an All-Star coach for competitive cheerleading for Cheer Extreme Fairfax. Alexis loves exploring the area of Northern Virginia and Washington, D.C. on the weekends, always looking for opportunities to make a difference in her community! Her involvement in leisure activities makes for fun connections with her clients and their families!
